Joe Scully and Kevin Westmoreland, owners of the restaurants Corner Kitchen and Chestnut, have decided to end the operation of Corner Kitchen Catering.
“It is a matter of focus,” says Kevin. “We love what we do, but the catering company drew us away from Corner Kitchen and Chestnut in a way that was ultimately not sustainable for us. It was a very small part of our revenue, but a large part of our planning and operations each week.”
Kevin added, “The catering business was enjoyable and allowed us to take our show on the road for many of our client’s most special occasions. That is something that was very gratifying to us.”
The catering kitchen at 48 Biltmore (underneath Chestnut) will be re-purposed as a commissary to supply even more house-made foods, chips, ice creams, and great desserts to both restaurants.
Joe Scully said, “I am looking forward to doing something exciting with the kitchen. Let us get the “commissary” fully rolled out and we will let Asheville know what’s coming next. It will be really fun.” https://cornerkitchencatering.com/
